Hello!
This is just something I've noticed that CPI admins do not give idle nudges before kicking an idler from a room. I'd like to propose a middle ground solution, as it can be impractical for people like myself who are still present but are quiet or flipping tabs. I can see both pros an cons to the current kicking system.
Pros: -Time efficient for administration -Quickly allows newer users to enter fuller rooms
Cons: -Risk kicking present people from full rooms, who may not be able to come back due to full room -May disgruntle users
While it may take a few extra minutes to whisper someone if they're there or not, is this something the CPI administration are willing to consider for the future? My middle ground proposal -> Give whisper nudges before kicking for people idle between 30 minutes and 60 minutes. Whisper them, wait 3 minutes then kick if no response. Instantly kick with no warning people idle for 60+ minutes.
I understand if this is something that may not be implemented, but I thought it was worth mentioning anyway!

The majority of the staff will whisper a user if they're around 30-40 minutes idle depending on how full/active the room is at the time. Over 40 minutes I can say I don't always whisper prior to kicking.

Would it be possible to stretch this 30-40 minute window to 30-59 minutes? Thank you for your response!

I agree with this. I know several people who have had this issue as well. It seems as though some admins will whisper, while others will not. I know I have brought this concern up to some of the admins before. I think it would be nice if there could be a consistency between all the admins!

I believe that if a user has been idle for an hour that I shouldn't have to ask before I remove you from the room. Yes, its convenient for people that are semi or quiet, but most people like to engage themselves with the room. I feel that if you aren't talking or engaging in the rooms overall jubilance, you aren't contributing and you can move to a room that is less full. All it takes to bust your idle time is to change your pose. If you really wish to stay in the room while being silent, just pop back in and change your pose every once in a while. Show us that you want to stay in an active, full room. There are probably other users waiting to get into the room who actually wish to CHAT on a CHATSITE. If your goal is to chill in a room with your friends, there are plenty of other rooms you can go into that are less full.

At this time, this will be taken under discussion with the rest of the staff. We may be able to set up some guidelines that would suite both the userbase and the administration.
Points raised: -Increase whisper window from 30-40 minutes to 30-59 minutes -Better consistency

I just think not giving a heads up under that limit is a little harsh. And thank you Fai

We, the administration, have come up with the following decision in response to this request:
All admins will whisper idle users prior to kick - there will be a whisper window of 30-59 minutes (meaning if the user has been idle between 30-59 minutes, they'll receive a whispered notification of an impending kick). After the whispered warning, the user will have approximately one minute to respond and/or become active in chat before an administrator will remove them from the room. This is to allow the administration to quickly clear out idle users in a full/active room (as opposed to waiting the proposed three minutes). If a user has been idle for more than a consecutive hour without changing poses or chatting, there will be no whispered notification prior to a kick being issued.

Thanks for bringing it up with the team! Much appreciated.

Thank you both for your input/ideas! Glad to see a better/more consistent idle-kicking system in place! (:
