Hello all!

I thought i'd post this to let people know about the changes of the rules that were made on 27/07/2017

Some changes have been made to the cat's paw island rules. Please take some time and read through them to make sure you understand the new changes on the site.

The Rules that have changed are Rule(s) number 3, 4 ,8 ,11, 13, 15 & 19

Changes were put in place by Fai, Head of Cat's paw Island and the Alphas.

3: Spam

"There is no specific limit about how much you can use capitals, but be aware that in online-lingo, it is considered "yelling", and if you do it constantly, it will constitute spam. Examples of spam: "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" "sdghksjghfksghfssfhgshfkgshgksf". Please note: Changing poses constantly also constitutes as spam as well as dots after each submission or singing song lyrics constantly"

4:Death & Suicide Threats

"We also ask that you not talk about causing self-harm on the chat: it can really affect other people emotionally, often due to personal experiences in their lives, and though it may seem callous, we need to watch out for everyone. These are the minimum ban lengths you will incur for the following death threat scenarios:

3 days to a Week for gorey/detailed Roleplay based death Threats in a public room.

1 Month for detailed/gorey Roleplay based death threats outside of a Roleplay or Private room.

A permanent ban for any discussion of intended self harm/suicide/threats of murder as well as encouraging someone else to harm/kill themselves."

8: Trolling on Chatlands Sites

"if you go on any Chatlands site (Cats Paw Island, Wolfhome, Willows, Siri Sola, etc.) for the purpose of harassing, disrupting, disturbing the peace, or trolling, the punishment is a minimum of a one week ban from ALL Chatlands sites, not just the one where the incident took place. Any attempt to deliberately cause strife or to disrupt others on any Chatlands site is treated as an attack against all Chatlands sites."

11: Account Responsiblity

"Also keep in mind when registering your account you are expected to enter your actual date of birth and accurate age. If you provide a false age (age boost) you will be asked to delete and remake your account in order to correct the error. Your account(s) will receive a permanent ban if the issue is not corrected."

13: Cursing and Language

"In general, you can use a couple of the lighter words such as shit, piss, crap, hell, damn, etc.. In 13+ rooms we will allow the use of a couple of the heavier swears as long as they are heavily censored (i.e B**** & F***) in moderation along with all minor swears previously listed. 17+ rooms will all the use of all swears uncensored in moderation. Please be aware you will be warned for excessive foul language if necessary. As a general note: all sniff content, music included, must be suitable for an All Ages room. If you are unsure of a swear please ask an admin!"

15: Sexual Content

"You may face a ban if your private room is not the correct rating for sexual content. We would also like to make is clear that discussion of 'kinks' and use of sexual terms of endearment (i.e. 'daddy' & 'mommy') will no longer be tolerated. PLEASE NOTE: ANY SEXUAL INNUENDO TOWARD A MINOR WILL RESULT IN A PERMANENT BAN AND WE WILL CONTACT YOUR ISP!!"

19: Multiple Accounts

"Multiple accounts in the same room controlled by the same person are not allowed. You can pay for as many as you want and different family members may have their own account but if we learn you are logging into the same room with multiple accounts all of the accounts will be banned. PLEASE NOTE: You are allowed multiple accounts in your OWN private room. You are also allowed to have multiple accounts in DIFFERENT rooms. For example one account in 'The Jungle' and another in 'Rising Dawn'."

Please make sure that you stick to these rules as well as all the others to make you time on Cats' Paw Island a happy and enjoyable one!!

As of 03/12/2019 we have allowed the following changes to the rules.
Some rules have now been condensed to relative rules.

Rule 13 - All Ages room all minor swears allowed and heavy swears must be heavily censored. All swears allowed uncensored in 13+ and above.
Rule 16 - Add requirement for private rooms to be rated properly according to content permitted inside.
Rulle 22 - Modified to allow for sniff music and content
Rule 23 - Condense into rule 21 (considered inappropriate content)
Rule 24 - Possible condense into the begging rule?
Rule 25 - Condense into Harassment rule
Rule 26 - Condense into False Reports
Rule 27 - Condense into Account Responsibility

13. Cursing and Language

In general, All Ages rated rooms you can use a couple of the lighter words such as shit, piss, crap, hell, damn, etc. as well as a heavy censor on some of the more severe words such as B**** & F***.

In 13+& 17+ rooms we will allow the use of all swears without the requirement of a censor. Please be aware you will be warned for excessive foul language if necessary. As a general note: all sniff content, music included, must be suitable for an All Ages room. If you are unsure of a swear please ask an admin in whisper!

16. Private Rooms

In your room, be it temporary or permanent, you are your own Alpha, and you can pick your own rating and you can kick out whoever you want for whatever reason. In someone else's room, you are subject to their laws. If you don't like someone's rules in their room, just go somewhere else. If they are violating one of the special consequence rules, such as a death threat, a hack threat, or propositioning a minor, you should report the violation to an Administrator immediately. We also do not accept inappropriate messages along with kicks from private room owners/admins/ etc.

All private rooms are required to be properly rated for the content and audience being allowed inside.

22. Different languages

Please understand that we have nothing against other countries or languages, but this is an English based site. Of course our site allows everyone from all over the world, but we ask that only English is spoken in general chat in public rooms. If you wish to speak other languages, please speak them either in a private room, or in whisper. Music or songs with foreign languages may be used in user sniffs as long as the content adheres to all previously stated rules - if you are unsure if a song may be used, please contact an administrator in whisper!
