What is CPI-mon GO?CPI-mon Go will be a 9 day ongoing event where anyone apart of the CPI community will be allowed to catch users, admins, and EC members as pokemon by using the !roll command to gain enough EXP points to challenge the Elite Three in attempt to become the champion of CPI!
How does it work?
Every three days there will be a certain Pokemon generation that all CPI trainers will be allowed to attempt catching (You can successfully catch a Pokemon 3 times a day, but you must catch a different Pokemon before returning to the same one) if they are online and in public rooms. Below shows the Generation of Pokemon and what week they are catchable. You are only allowed to catch people that have signed up to be Pokemon. First Generation Pokemon will be CPI users that will be catchable August 20th-August 22nd.
Seond Generation Pokemon will be Events Committee Members that will be catachable August 23rd-August 25th. (this does NOT include Senior Members: HolyKitten, Lonny, or Astrology)Third Generation Pokemon will be Admins that will be catchable August 26th-August 28th.
And our very special Legendary CPI-mon, Raja, who only appears rarely... See if you can spot him for 1,000 EXP!To catch these Pokemon, we use the !roll 1d20 command. If you roll higher than the Pokemon, you will catch them! You will get 3 tries to catch the Pokemon .
Each time you roll, the amount of EXP (Experience Points) decreases by 100. 1st roll: 300 EXP 2nd roll: 200 EXP 3rd roll: 100 EXP If you fail to catch the Pokemon in three tries, the Pokemon user runs away! :( Please wait a while before returning to catch the Pokemon again the same day. If you did catch the Pokemon user, Congratulations! Here are some examples if you are a little confused: Worded example:Astrology: Hey Maxine, can I catch you?
maxine: Sure!
Astrology: [1d20] (1)=1
maxine: [1d20] (2)=2
maxine: Sorry, you're gonna have to roll higher than me!
Astrology: [1d20] (15)=15
maxine: [1d20] (1)=1
maxine: Maxine has been caught! 200 EXP Earned.
EXPLANATION: Since trainer Astrology had to make two attempts at catching pokemon Maxine, Astrology only gained 200 EXP instead of 300 EXP.
Astrology: Hey Maxine, can I catch you?
maxine: Sure!
Astrology: [1d20] (1)=1
maxine: [1d20] (2)=2
maxine: Sorry you're gonna have to roll higher than me!
Astrology: [1d20] (5)=5
maxine: [1d20] (12)=12

EXPLANATION: Trainer Astrology took three attempts to catch Pokemon Maxine and lost, Maxine ran away and Astrology cannot try again until tomorrow. Picture examples:   If you see someone who is online, in a public room, and there generation is catchable for that specific day, you can seek them out and challenge them to a battle to catch them. You will use the !roll command to catch the Pokemon! You have 3 chances to catch the Pokemon before it flees and you only are allowed to catch the same person ONCE, once you have caught someone, you are no longer able to catch them again. Also if you are unsuccessful in catching someone, you must wait until the next day to attempt again at catching someone.
How do I roll? (What is the command?) The command is simple: !roll 1d20 This command will roll a 20 sided dice and give you a random number. If you roll higher than the Pokemon user, you will catch them!
When does it start? Sign ups to be a Pokemon start August 15th, to August 19th. This will give users 5 days to sign up. The event will start August 20th, and will end August 28th. This gives trainers 9 days to catch Pokemon, challenge the elite three, and become the champion.
Where can I sign up to be a Pokemon? There will be a separate topic posted in the Festival Grounds to sign up yourself to be caught! Of course, you can still be a trainer as well as a Pokemon. You can also be just a trainer, or just a Pokemon too! It is your choice.
How do I show who I caught? Once you have caught the Pokemon user, admin, or EC member by rolling higher than them in 3 attempts, the pokemon you capture will need to say in chat your username and how much EXP you have earned.
For example: "Astrology has been CAUGHT! 300/200/100 EXP has been earned!" Once the pokemon has done this, you will take a screenshot of it and post the screenshot on the original forum topic as proof of your successful capture.
Who is apart of the elite four? How do I challenge them? Our three Senior Events Committee members are the infamous elite three! (Holykitten, Astrology, and Lonny) You may challenge the elite three by gaining 3,500 EXP. In order to beat the elite three, you must roll 2 times higher out of the 3 tries that you have.
How do I become the champion? The requirements are simple! You must have 3,500 EXP and beat all of the elite three! *Once you have beat the elite three, your EXP does not restart.* Who is the champion? For the start of the event, there is no champion. Whoever beats the elite three first becomes the champion! Once you have won against the elite three, you get the title of champion! But, oh... What's this? You can lose your title! Yep, other users who have beat all three elites ALSO get to challenge you for your place! Here's the next kicker... If you fail to win against the champion, or you get knocked off as the titled champion, you must challenge the elite three AGAIN! Sounds pretty easy, right? To beat the champion, you must roll 4 times higher out of the 5 tries.
(Disclaimer: When becoming the champion, it is crucial that your activity is high. There will be more rules stated below this post specific to the champion's role and duties. Please be sure to give it a read!)
What are the prizes? All the champions that have won get a delta prize! Even if you aren't the current champion, you get a prize for 'participation'! Congrats! Our NEW prize is for whomever earns the most EXP! This gets you a personal badge! The champion that comes out last when the event ends though, gets deltas and Pokemon premade pose!
What are the consequences if I break the CPI-mon rules? As stated before in the rules, there are a few things you should keep in mind when playing this event! Breaking these rules will result in a warning, and a deduction of 300 EXP of overall EXP. If we have to warn you again, You will be unable to participate in this event for the rest of the time it is going on.
We ask you as our amazing participants that if you see anybody misbehaving, cheating, etc, that you contact Astrology, HolyKitten, or Lonny directly and immediately. If you cannot reach us, feel free to contact an EC member, or an Admin.
If a Pokemon user, an elite, or a champion is in a private room, please do not ask them if you can catch them or challenge them. If a user says they are busy or they are AFK, please do not harass them on catching or challenging them. PLEASE be active during this event if you have signed up to be a Pokemon or if you win as Champion. Failure to do so may result in your title loss. Please follow all standard CPI rules when playing!

CHAMPIONS, PLEASE READ HERE!
Since champions are going to be battling against other people wanting to claim champion title, please READ THROUGHLY through these rules when you become a champion! This is very vital to the game, as it is how you win! Fun, right?
First off, I would like you to keep in mind that you have no right to turn other users away when they want to battle you. Besides, that would take the fun out of it! If we figure out you have been turning users away, this will result in a warning & deduction of 300 exp, you will also get your champion title revoked.
You MUST be active to be champion. Period. Taking some time to hang out with friends is okay, but we prefer you try to be on as much as you possibly can, that way others can challenge you. If you are inactive for more than 3 days, your champion TITLE (not name) will be revoked. (meaning you can still get the prize being an existing champion- just the current place of champion will be revoked.) If this is so, the champion name will automatically go back to the champion before them, and people will have to challenge them instead.
***USERS, PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU ABSOLUTELY CANNOT HARASS THE CHAMPION ON CHALLENGING THEM. IF THE CHAMPION TELLS US YOU ARE DOING SO, THERE WILL BE A WARNING AND PUNISHMENT.*** |
